Amber Heard has surprised fans by announcing that she has become a mother to twins.
She had already revealed that she was pregnant in December but did not share the sex of her baby or that she was having twins.
The 39-year-old actress took to social media with the news of her little ones’ arrivals on Mother’s Day in the US, uploading a cute photo of their tiny feet.
Her caption to her 5.1million followers read: ‘Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget. This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang.’
She confirmed that she’s welcomed a daughter named Agnes and a son called Ocean, joking that they are keeping her ‘hands full’ as well as her heart.
‘When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever,’ she said, having welcomed her first child via surrogacy in 2021.

‘I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy,’ Amber continued. ‘Well, now I am bursting times three!!!’
She added sweetly: ‘Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life.
‘I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully.’
Heard, who was previously in a high-profile relationship with Johnny Depp, concluded: ‘To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you. Love always,
A x’
Heard opted not to speak publicly about her pregnancy while she was expecting. She also hasn’t shared any details of who her twins’ father is.
Offering further insight into her latest arrival, a representative told People: ‘Amber is delighted to welcome the twins and complete her family.

‘Mama and babies are enjoying every minute. And Oonagh is happily running the show.’
When her pregnancy was announced late last year, it was also her spokesperson who did so via a statement to People.
‘It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage,’ it read.
‘Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige.’
Oonagh’s birth was also confirmed with an online post in July 2021, with Heard writing at the time: ‘I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way.
‘I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalised to not want a ring in order to have a crib.’

She continued: ‘A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this.
‘My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life.’
The Aquaman star has retreated from the spotlight in recent years and keeps a lower profile these days following her explosive defamation trial with ex-husband Depp.
Heard and Depp, 61, were married from 2015 to 2017, and then, in 2022, they headed to court, with a jury asked to determine whether Heard had defamed her ex in a Washington Post op-ed written in 2018.
In the article, the movie star discussed experiencing domestic abuse but didn’t name Depp explicitly.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor won his defamation case in June of that year, having sought millions of dollars in damages, for which Heard countersued, after a jury reached a unanimous verdict.

Depp was awarded $10million (£7.5m) in compensatory damages, plus another $5million (£3.8m) in punitive damages; however, the latter was reduced to Virginia’s maximum of $350,000 (£263k) by Judge Penney Azcarate.
Heard won one of her three defamation counterclaims and was awarded $2million (£1.5m).
She now lives a much quieter life in Madrid, Spain, having said once the trail ended that she was looking forward to being a mother ‘full-time’ when she wan’t ‘having to juggle calls with lawyers’.
